About Us
A pub with rooms, at the centre of the village
Located in the heart of Haxey, The Loco offers a warm and friendly welcome, with a fully stocked bar selling a wide range of beers, wines and spirits.
Recently refurbished, we have two main areas for your relaxation, our spacious bar area with tables and seating for cosy drinks with friends, and our entertainment area with a wide-screen TV, pool table and comfortable sofas for your comfort and relaxation.
Our kitchen offers delicious home made wood-fired oven pizzas with a variety of toppings for you to choose from.
We have 7 newly refurbished air-conditioned rooms, offering bed and breakfast for overnight, short or long stays, all with en-suite bathroom, coffee and tea making facilities and flat-screen TV.

Our neighbouring small town of Epworth is rich in traditions and history. Lining the pretty centreare quaint shops, all worth visiting. You can explore St Andrew’s Church or Epworth Old Rectory and learn all about the founders of world Methodism, John and Charles Wesley.
Haxey and Epworth Turbary nature reserves are great for a walk.
Sandtoft Trolley Bus museum is a short drive away.

Shepherds Place Farm is a great day out for all the family. If you would like to get up close and personal with many farmyard favourites, this is the place to do it! A fun, humble, and educational petting farm where you and your family can meet a wide variety of animals from home and over seas.
We have many local recreation parks, and leisure centres at Gainsborough and Epworth.
Grovehouse Stables in Misterton offer horse riding lessons for all ages.
Biking & Hiking
There are plenty of trails around the Isle of Axholme, including a disused railway running through Haxey, Epworth and Belton.
Day Trips
Fishing is popular locally, including Lindholme Lakes at Wroot, Oaktree fisheries, Medge Hall and Haxey Quays.
West Stockwith has a yacht club, and Idle Days offers boat trips along the local River Idle.
